Danielle Barclay, Publicity Director of Entangled Select, Indulgence, and Scandalous
Danielle started her career in publishing over twenty years ago honing her skills as an advertising executive and marketing consultant. She is an award winning social media expert and has extensive experience in media relations, promotional writing, and is an accomplished graphic designer. Prior to joining the talented team at Entangled Publishing she worked as a publicist for the RT BOOKLOVERS’ Convention promoting National and New York Times bestselling authors. Now she directs publicity efforts for Entangled Select, Indulgence, and Scandalous imprints, and provides training and leadership support to a large team of publicists to help the authors at Entangled Publishing build a platform for success. Danielle strives to get authors is in the right place to connect with readers and get them face time with the media so they can tell their story to as many people as possible. Melissa “Misa” Bourbon Ramirez, Executive Marketing Director and Publicity Director of Covet, Flirt, Ever After, and Brazen
Misa started her career in the publishing industry as an author more than twelve years ago, has two best selling mystery series, and runs a vibrant author marketing website. She teaches creative writing with Southern Methodist University’s CAPE program, as well as online, and is the marketing director for Entangled Publishing where she directs publicity and marketing for the Covet, Flirt, Ever After, and Brazen lines. Misa loves working behind the scenes to help other authors build their platforms and find great success with their novels. Heather Riccio, Publicity Director of Entangled Teen, Entangled New Adult, and digiTeen
Heather has been a publicist with Entangled since December 2011, and has done marketing/publicity with the Palm Springs International Film Festival since 2008. Her Masters degree is in Fiction Writing and her undergraduate degree is a double degree in English and Anthropology from University of California, Riverside.She also works for Bowker part-time as a market researcher, which keeps her up-to-date on book trends. On the side, Heather can also be found doing pro-bono work as the Director of Partnerships for Project Migration, a fashion accessories company with a charitable initiative, and as the Features Editor for Urbanette magazine. Jessica Turner, Publicity Director of Entangled Suspense, Bliss, and Entangled Edge
Jessica had no idea how much assuming the moniker “The Spinecracker” would completely change her life. In 2010 while working as the marketing assistant and social media director for a real estate firm in San Diego, she began reviewing books on her personal book blog. Always the chatterbox, she quickly befriended authors, publishers, and fellow reviewers. She had the opportunity to become a freelance writer for HeroesandHeartbreakers.com and later the Huffington Post. But her dream was to always find a way in to the magical word of publishing. Jessica was hired by Entangled Publishing in July 2012 as a publicist. Brittany Marczak, Publicist and Marketing Assistant
With a BA in English, and minors in Creative Writing and Digital Arts, Brittany has had her sights set on publishing her whole life. Brittany joined Entangled in July 2012 as Marketing Assistant and, in September 2012, has happily taken on the second position of Associate Publicist. Fresh out of college, Brittany brings youth, creativity, and excitement to this young publishing company, and hopes to grow steadily along with Entangled. Jaime Arnold, Senior Publicist
Jaime has been a publicist with Entangled since May 2012 but before that she was an intern helping out the editorial and the publicity departments. She is currently working with authors in both the adult and teen genres. She’s been with Entangled in some form or another since December 2011. She is also a book blogger and has had her blog for almost 2 years. She has built relationships with other bloggers as well as authors, publicists, and publishing houses.And she also review books for the San Francisco/Sacramento Book Review. Jessica Estep, Senior Publicist
Jessica has been at Entangled Publishing since May 2012. She started out as an intern and now serves as a Senior Publicist. She recently graduated with her Masters degree in Psychology, with an emphasis on development and teaching. She has been a Young Adult book blogger for over 2 years at the blog Confessions of a Bookaholic. Tara Gonzalez, Senior Publicist
Tara is addicted to being busy and has overwhelmed and overworked herself since the high school days when she was tricked into becoming the editor of her high school paper. She’s interned for a film distribution company, flirted with the idea of film school, spent a glorious six months living in London, and has interned for multiple literary agents. She’s a publicist with Entangled Publishing and an Assistant Agent with Larsen Pomada Literary Agents. Barbara “Babs” Hightower, Senior Publicist
Babs has been a publicist with Entangled Publishing since May 2012, and has been helping promote authors since 2008 through her blog. She has various editing credits and is currently an editor with Aignos Publishing. She is one of the founders of a set of four promo blogs, Indie Book Promo, Romance Promo Central, Young Adult Promo Central and Book Promo Central. Morgan Maulden, Senior Publicist
Born and raised in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Morgan earned her bachelor’s degree in Business Marketing from Louisiana State University. In June 2010, Morgan started her book review blog, and through her blog, she discovered her passion for promoting authors and their work. Wanting to combine her marketing and sales experience with her passion for books, she joined Entangled Publishing in August 2012. Stacey O’Neale, Senior Publicist
Stacey joined Entangled Publishing in July, 2011. She works exclusively for USA TODAY Bestselling Author, Jennifer L. Armentrout and her pseudonym, J. Lynn. In addition to her work with Jennifer, she teaches courses in publicity and social media through Savvy Authors and various Romance Writers Association chapters. Her work in social media branches out into speaking engagements including invitations to book conventions such as Book Expo America (BEA) and the Virginia Festival of the Book. JJ Bonds, Publicist
J.J. joined Entangled Publishing in July 2012 as a Junior Publicist. She has an extensive background in sales and marketing, which she’s honed over the last decade while working for one of the top grocery retailers in the US. J.J.’s experience includes category management, project management, and brand management, although her heart lies in publishing. J.J. is the author of the Crossroads Academy series and writes YA Paranormal Romance and Urban Fantasy in her spare time. She holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Pennsylvania State University, as well as a B.S in Marketing & Management from Indiana University of PA.
Katie Clapsadl, Publicist
Katie can’t remember a time when reading wasn’t a central part of her life and she can usually be found with her nose stuck in a book. Holding a degree in Business, she’s worked several sales and marketing jobs, but none of them felt quite right. So she decided to take some time off to raise a family and in the interim started the book blog, A Book Obsession as an outlet for her passion for reading. Looking back she never could have imagined the success and all of the media contacts she would gain in such a short time. In addition to running the book blog she also reviews for RT Magazine. But there still was the problem of finding a career that would be as satisfying as her passion for books. The answer came in July of 2012 when she started working for Entangled as a publicist. Sarah Ellsworth, Publicist
Sarah is a fourth-generation Colorado native with a degree in English Literature. She lives in the beautiful city of Fort Collins where she writes Late Night Fort Collins, a local nightlife blog. Sarah has been reading romance novels since her teenage years, and completed her thesis at Colorado State University on the culture of romance novels. She hopes to have a long and exciting career in the publishing industry and was thrilled to join Entangled in August 2012.
Elana Johnson, Publicist
Elana Johnson is an author whose work includes Possession, Surrender, and Regret, published by Simon Pulse (Simon & Schuster). Her Possession short story, Resist is also available for free download. She’s been helping authors for years with her popular ebook, From the Query to the Call, which is available for free download, as well as maintaining an active blog on publishing. Becoming an Entangled publicist was a natural step in her quest to help authors have a positive publishing experience. Sarah Nicolas, Publicist
Sarah joined Entangled in September of 2011 as an intern and became an Associate Publicist in July of 2012. Her degree is in mechanical engineering, but she’s found her heart in the publishing industry and has worked as an editorial assistant, technical writer, marketing coordinator, and author’s assistant. Crystal Perkins, Publicist
Crystal joined Entangled in September 2012 but she has worked in the book world for over four years. Young Adult literature is her passion but she is excited to explore and promote all types of romance with Entangled. Although Crystal lived most of her life in Arizona, she now lives in Las Vegas where she coordinates the Young Adult programming for the Vegas Valley Book Festival.
Debbie Suzuki, Publicist
Debbie joined Entangled Publishing in July and is a long time romance reader. She was a software quality engineer previous to joining Entangled. Kym joined Entangled Publishing in 2012. She has a degree in Administration of Justice and followed her life dream into law enforcement. As a retired detective sergeant she can recognize the difference between a good story and a tale that will run you around in circles.
